Scott was an outstanding player, a great guy and a true friend words can not express the deep sorrow that I have in my heart for Kara, Kelsey, Colleen and James. I had the privilege of being Scott's teammate at Towson, it was no surprise to me that he was voted team captain by his peers. I will miss him greatly but keep him in my thoughts always.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Scott was a great person, good friend and role model for all of us at Towson. He was loved and respected by everyone! He will be deeply missed. It's hard to think of Scott without hearing Coach Albert's frequent pre practice chant of "Scott McCluskey big and husky was a handsome lad." God be with you through these trying times.

I have known Scott since he was about eight years old. He was a great kid who grew into a wonderful man, husband and father. I know he is sitting in heaven now watching over all of you just as his father has done for all these years.
My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always

My heart breaks at the loss of Scott. Scott was truly one of the good guys, and this world is worse off without him around. I've known Scott through all our junior high and high school years. Although we did not see each other much as the years went by, he always had a big smile and a hug each time we did. He will be missed forever. My thoughts and prayers to Kara and the kids, and his mom Judy, who raised a gem of a son.

My deepest sympathy to Scott's family at this sorrowful time. Hold on to God's powerful hand and he will bring you through. I was a teammate of Scott's at Towson and can attest to the fact that Scott was always a man of character with a very strong competitive streak. I knew that when I lined up next to Scott that I could always count on him. I saw Scott this fall for the first time in twenty years at a football reunion and we were able to share some great laughs about some of the great times we had as young men. I am proud to be able to say that Scott was my friend. I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend the services but I, along with many other of Scott's Towson teammates, will be thinking of you as you say good-bye to your husband, father and son.

Dear Kara and the kids,
Scotty was a teammate, roommate, and, above all else, a friend. The experiences we shared in just a few years in college yielded a lifetime of memories. In this season, though, we mourn for our loss. We all will miss him very much indeed.
While I cannot be there please know that I pray that God will hold us all close, comfort us, and in the hope of everlasting life, we will see all of our loved ones again, where we will live together forever in his grace and glory.
Cliff, Susette, and the girls.

To the McCluskey family, I send my sincere condolences and regret I wasn't able to make it to NJ to pay respects to Scott. When I heard the sad news, as much as it hurt, somehow Scott's radiant smile was the first thing to come to mind. He is gone but I know he will live on in your hearts and memories. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

To the McCluskey family and all relatives and friends,
We knew Mr. McCluskey as a good person and we attended the school where he was the dean of students in Morristown. Our time spent with him and all the support he showed us helped us get by the day easier. He will always be remembered as a kind hearted man who's best interest was to make everyone around him satisfied and happy. We are very sorry for the loss of such a great man and send our sympathies to family and friends. We're greatful that we had the chance to get to know him and we will miss him very much.
Love,
Alyssa & Marisa

I am deeply saddened by this news and I offer Scott's family my deepest sympathy. I was away and recieved the news through an email when I returned and could not believe my eyes. Scott and I worked together on several projects through Caldwell College these past two semesters and I will truly miss him. He was an incredible role model for the students he taught and often spoke of his beautiful family in our discussions before class. On behalf of the entire cohort, I know we will unite and finish in his honor. My heart goes out to you all and I will keep you and Scott in my thoughts and prayers always.

To Kara, her children, and Scott's family,
I want to express my profound sadness at Scott's passing. It is a shock that I cannot yet and may never comprehend. Scotty was a great friend to me over the years and was at once dynamic and unselfish, and one of the best people I've ever known. I knew Scott mostly through the long legacy of Maplewood Tire softball. I had the honor of playing ball with both Scott and his Dad Maurus over 25 years on the team, and I can tell you the "acorn did not fall far from the tree". On behalf of our entire team, we will miss him as our leader and he will always be with us.

I wanted to share my condolences to all of Scott's friends & family. I was Scott's freshman basketball coach @ Columbia High School. Even though it's been over 20 years since I coached Scott, I still remember his passion & desire to succeed, his work ethic & his smile. Even at a young age, everyone that came in contact with Scott were better from the experience. I know that his friends & family will miss him greatly, but everyone who had the pleasure to know Scott have great memories that will stay with them.
Sorry for your loss,
Bruce Hamburger
