Obituary of Robert F. Noesner
Robert F. Noesner, 82, of Maplewood, passed away surrounded by his loving family. Born in Irvington, Robert lived in Maplewood for 47 years.
He dedicated 25 years of his life to serving as a firefighter for Union before continuing his career as a Fire Inspector for the Township of Maplewood. Earlier in his life, he worked as a skilled tool and die maker.
He was an avid hobbyist who loved building radio controlled model boats and was a long time member of the South Orange Seaport Society and RC Model Boat Club. He enjoyed traveling with trips throughout Europe, Australia, and visited most of the national parks in the United States and Canada.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Marie (Dupre) Noesner; his four sons, Robert Noesner (Tracey), Thomas Noesner, Donald Noesner (Jennifer), and Matthew Noesner (Laura); and nine cherished grandchildren who found him to be funny.
He was predeceased by his brother Frederick Noesner.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 14th, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect Street, Maplewood. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Church “Maintenance Fund”.
