Obituary of Herman Zamora

Herman Zamora, age 87, of Maplewood, NJ died Sunday, October 20^th, 2024.

Visitation will be at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange, NJ on Monday, October 28^th from 12-1pm, followed by a prayer service at 1pm. Entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Born in Pampanga, Philippines, Herman received his law degree from the University of the Philippines. He later immigrated to the United States and earned graduate and PhD degrees from Rutgers University and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Herman taught at Seton Hall University and Montclair State College, and ultimately led his own private law practice in New York City for over 35 years. Herman settled in Maplewood, NJ and lived there for almost 50 years.

Herman is survived by his wife, Josefina Zamora of Maplewood; son, Robert Zamora of Maplewood; daughter, Cynthia Daniel of the Bronx, her husband, Kurt and two grandchildren, Zoe and Neve Daniel.
