Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Hammel

Elizabeth J. Hammel, 81, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on January 30, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Elizabeth was born on September 9, 1942, to parents, Jane and Harry Hammel in Cincinnati, Ohio. One of eight children, she attended New Richmond High School and loved her alma mater. She lived much of her life in Cincinnati, raising her three children with former husband, Mark Flick. In her career, she was an executive assistant at Meade Paper Co. and a system analyst for Bowater Pulp and Paper Co.  Elizabeth was an impeccable seamstress, sewing costumes and gowns certain to make any young lady swoon. In her retirement years, she delighted in playing the days away with her four grandchildren in her condo, in which, every wall was painted her favorite shade of pink. She lived the last five years in Maplewood, NJ with her daughter Nicole and son-in-law Kris. There, she made many new friends, sang in the church choir, and took a dance lesson or two. Her smile could light up a room and she will be missed by so many.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, Jane and Harry; siblings, Westy, April, David, and Bob. She is survived by her children, Nicole L. Hubert (nee Flick) and husband Kris; M. Christopher Flick and wife Jessica; Michael W. Flick and wife Angel; Four Grandchildren, Susan, Ross, Summer, and Saul; Three siblings, Margaret, Danny, and Sherry, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
