I was deeply saddened and devastated to learn about Sandra’s passing. Sandra was my country mate at UWC, and was like a little sister to me. She was just the purest, kindest soul who was loved by all. I always enjoyed the moments we spent chatting about home, school and life. And I enjoyed getting fashion advice from her. You were a wonderful friend Sandra and we will all miss you deeply. I will always hold your memory in my heart. My deepest, sincerest condolences to your family.

I was very blessed to be Sandra’s sister in law for 10 years and she’s Aunt Tata to my 3 kids. I first met her when she was 16 years old and I got to watch her grow into a strong and independent woman. I enjoyed chatting with Sandra about her crazy life adventures when she would stay with us when she was on breaks from school. I can still hear my children’s voices screaming Tata when she would visit. Let us all celebrate Sandra’s amazing life and thank her for the memories that we made with her. I will always remember her as the beautiful girl who would dance in the rain in Central Park and loved her family deeply. She was one in a million and I will never forget her. Her song has ended, but her melody lives on in all of us. - Tricia Wagga
