Lillian Parkinson, 67 of South Orange passed away on August 5, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ  on Thursday August 24^th from 8:30-9:30AM . The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange at 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange. 

Lilian Parkinson was born on the island of Jamaica in the parish of Clarendon. 

After her birth, her mother and grandmother migrated to England and she was left in the care of her Uncle Clifford and his wife Annie Nembhard. 

Lillian attended The Parus Primary School.  After graduation and the passing of her aunt and uncle, she lived with her uncle Edward Nembhard in the district of Trinity in the parish of Manchester.  Shortly after the birth of her second daughter, Coreen, Lillian immigrated to the United States with Coreen.  Lillian found a career as a child care provider and is loved deeply by all the children under her care and their parents. 

Lillian is survived by  her daughters Coreen and Chloe Nembhard, grandson Johnathan and 11 siblings.
