Every Saturday at lunchtime the phone rang, and it was you dear Zio Peppino. My Dad and My mom picked up the phone, put it on speaker phone, and, even if you were miles and miles away, it seemed like you were here with us! And now We can’t stop thinking about how much we will miss those phonecalls and how much We will Miss that contagious laugh of yours!!! Bye Zio Peppino, you are always loved. Rest in peace. Dear Uncle Joe, I still can't believe it, you left so suddenly, Everything seems to have stopped on your last phone call a few days ago, but everything has changed. There are no words to express the pain, the sadness and lack you leave in our hearts. You have always been a great example for us, a loving husband and father, a generous brother and uncle, an honest man and a hard worker. I would like to find an explanation for all this but I just can't do it, in my head there are only "Why? Why? Why?" Another important piece of our family is gone; it's really hard to face all this, now only sadness and a great sense of emptiness. We remember the past moments when you were here in this land, when there was Aunt Rita, my grandmother Teresa, Aunt Luisa, Aunt Nun, Uncle Filomeno and now ? Everything seems ephemeral to me, the time available to us is short and we have not always given the right weight to people, to occasions ... If it is true that there is another life after this one, you will be in Heaven and you will be able to embrace the loved ones who anticipated you and that we miss them very much. And finally, if I can, I want to imagine you as a bright new star in the sky that lights up our mortal lives, that protects all of your family, your sons Teresa, Lisa, Larry, Joe, your grandchildren and all of your loved ones. I have many very fond memories about zio Peppino. He used to come to visit us in Italy during the summer, and in those events all our families had reunions and enjoyed big parties. He was a highlight for all of us. I remember also when he hosted me for some months in his house living there as one of the family. I saw how he was a great family man and a hard worker. His loss has been bad news and I am so sorry for this. My condolences to Teresa, Lawrence, Joe, Lisa, Annie and to the entire family. Lorenzo

Sentite condoglianze a tutti voi, cari cugini, e ad Annie. Ricordo il caro zio Peppe con immenso affetto. Ricordo quando veniva a Vico Equense dalla sua cara mamma, nonna Teresa, e dalla sua amata sorella Luisina, la mia cara mamma! Ricordo mamma e nonna come erano felici quando arrivava Peppino e tutti i preparativi e la famosa “parmigiana “ che faceva mamma che lui adorava. Ricordo l’ultima volta che l’ho visto quando è venuto con Jo, Dee e Laurie e aveva il suo bel sorriso... ridevano anche gli occhi che si illuminavano! Ricordo che in alcune occasioni si riuniva anche zia Elvira e con zio Filomeno trascorrevano qualche giorno insieme... con mamma... come quando erano bambini! Non ho avuto tante opportunità di dirti quanto ti volevo bene e quanta stima avevo di te! Per me eri un idolo... sempre bello... giovanile e col tuo bel sorriso! Riposa in pace, caro zio!’Abbraccia nonna... mamma e zio Filomeno da parte mia!
