Obituary of Viola Vassell

Viola Vassell, 59, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday May 10, 2022, at Whitehouse Health Care & Rehab Center in Orange, NJ.

Visitation will be held at Church of God of Prophecy, 254 Stuyvesant Avenue, Newark, NJ on Saturday, May 21st from 9:00 – 9:45 AM, with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, 620 Central Avenue, Newark.

Viola was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and moved to the United States where she settled in Newark, NJ. She became a Home Health Aide for Cross Links Care in Maplewood, NJ and worked there for many years.

Viola is predeceased by her mother Sonia A. Watson. She is survived by her loving son Dwayne Davis and sister Lorna Vassel.
