Obituary of Jameel P. Taylor

Jameel P. Taylor, 40, of Maplewood for 27 years, passed away at his residence on Thursday February 3^rd, 2022.

Vistitaion will be held on Friday, February 18^th, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Avenue, South Orange. On Saturday, February 19^th, there will be a visitation at The Episcopal Church of St. Andrew & Holy Communion, 160 W South Orange Avenue, South Orange, from 9:00-9:45AM with the Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at Hollywood Cemetery in Union.

Jameel was born in New Brunswick, and was raised in Newark. At age 13 he and his mother moved to Maplewood so that Jameel could attend Columbia High School and play football, which he loved. After High School, he attended Linoln-Tech to learn the Digital Technology Trade. He later worked at Metrofuser Printing Company where he worked on the printers for 5 years, and most recently at Allied Liquors in Elizabeth as a Beverage Salesman for the past year.

Jameel is survived by his parents Veronica, and Leo Jr., along with his siblings Malcolm, Leo III, and Sandy, his daughter Dalilah, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
