Kenneth Mustapha, 69 of Newark passed away on Thursday March 18, 2021 after a brief illness.

Visitation will be held at The Jacob Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Milburn Avenue, Maplewood on Friday March 26^th from 10-11AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30AM.

Mr. Mustapha was born in Accra, Ghana. He lived in Nigeria before moving to the United States first settling in Jersey City and then Newark twenty years ago. He earned a Masters degree in Special Education from NJCU. He was a Special Education teacher for the New York City Public Schools for more than 20 years. He also taught Independent Learning for children with special needs to help them transition back into the school system.  

Mr. Mustapha was predeceased by his first wife Mavis Aku Mustapha. He is survived by his beloved wife Fumilayo Mustapha, his devoted children Babatunde, Sheri, Adewale, Aderonke, and his loving grandchildren Imani Mustapha Ippolito, Olivia Sky & Kyro Wideman Jr., Maylee & Emma Rouleau, Adewale, Adeayo, Adebayo & Cameron Mustapha. His sister Mary Donkor, and brothers Idris Mustapha and Gafar Adeyemo. Cousins Mrs. Modupe Amable, Mr.Akintunde Akinyele, Mrs. Oyinkasola Popoola, Mrs. Ibijoke Akinrinde.
