Obituary of William E Owens

William E. Owens, 65, beloved husband of Donna Roff, died suddenly on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Bill was born in Glenolden, Pa., and has lived in South Orange, N.J., for 32 years. He received his degree from Marist College in 1974, where he also played football. He was a vice president with Cooper T. Smith Stevedoring from 1999 to the present. Bill is survived by his wife, Donna, and sisters, Susanne Owens and Roberta Weir. He was predeceased by his sister, Joanne McCuen Powers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. His integrity, grace, humor, and compassion made him loved by all. His spirit will never leave us. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Tuesday, June 20, from 4 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a short memorial from 7:30 to 8 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit prestonfuneralhome.net.
